TZWS Level 1 Tutorial Images For ES95 Page 1

The ES95 Movement with Date@3
Before you begin take notice of how the calendar parts fits together. Take a close look at where the pieces meet. Now pull the stem out to the hand set time position. Turn the stem clockwise a full 24 hours. First you will notice the hour wheel engage the date star drive wheel, then a peg will appear on one of the star wheel spokes that will mesh with the teeth on the date dial making it turn. Below the Date Star Wheel is a cutout in the date dial guard. Notice the exact location and the movement of the Date Roller and the Date Roller Spring as the date dial jumps one day every 24 hours as you turn the crown. The Date Roller is just a flat round disk about 2 mm in diameter. Take care not to lose this part, since it only sits on the main plate and is exposed as soon as you remove the date dial guard.

Now follow the original FM97 Lessons at the www.TimeZone.Com Watch School
and release the mainspring tension by the method described in the beginning of the level one lesson. Once the mainspring tension has been released you can begin by using the 2.0 mm screwdriver and remove the two Date Dial Guard Screws Ebauches #52535. Once the screws are loose the date day moves and slips around. Remove the Date Dial Ebauches #2557/1 and the Date Dial Guard Ebauches #2535. Take care when removing these parts and now look for the little round disk called the Date Roller Ebauches #2540 and safely secure this part before it becomes lost.

Now with your number 2 Tweezers remove the Day Star Date Drive Wheel Ebauches #2561 and then the Hour Wheel Ebauches #250. Sometimes the Cannon Pinion Ebauches #245 might stick to the hour wheel. Use the 2.0 mm screwdriver on the Setting Wheel Screw #5450 and on the Set Lever Cover Screw #5479. Remove and store the Setting Wheel Ebauches #450 and Screw 5450 and do the same with the Set Lever Cover Ebauches #479 and Screw 5479. Now you can remove the Set Lever #443 and then the combination Clutch Lever and Set Spring Ebauches #435/1. Put out the Stem Ebauches #401 and now you can remove the Clutch Wheel Ebauches #407, then the Winding Pinion Ebauches #410. Next remove the Minute Wheel and then the Day Star Spring Ebauches #2610. You now have removed all the parts from the dial side of the movement, which is also known as the bottom side of the watch.
