Now turn the movement over to begin working of the balance side of the movement also know as the topside or upper side.

The Crown wheel is right in the center of the watch and makes contact with the combination Click-Clickspring and the Ratchet Wheel. Like many watches of this type the crown wheel screw is left handled and turns the opposite direction of all the other screws in the watch. Always practice caution with every crown wheel screw that you come across. Try gentle pressure in each direction before trying to force what appear to be a stuck screw off.

Take care to locate and remove the Crown Wheel Ring Ebauches #422. This part is hard to notice and can stick to the crown wheel seat on the main plate.
